Abstract
The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT) are bringing together Taiwan’s policymakers, offshore wind leaders, investors and international stakeholders to power the growth of Taiwan’s burgeoning offshore wind market at the Global Offshore Wind Summit Taiwan (GOWST) 2022. GOWST is the official annual offshore wind event where the Taiwan government and industry officials discuss the critical challenges and opportunities facing Taiwan in the APAC wind energy sector from now to 2035, such as supply chain and port infrastructure development, Round 3 localization strategy, CPPA financing and the future of floating offshore wind.
GOWST is an event organised by the industry, for the industry, focuses on how to strengthen the policy framework for sustainable development of the wind sector towards achieving Taiwan’s ambitious targets and building a greener economy. It will take place on 17-18 October 2022. This year, the event will continue to be held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation, presentations, forum discussion and networking sessions.
