Workshop on Co-use and Ecology for the energy sector

The North Sea plays a crucial role in the Netherlands' energy transition, ecological recovery and our future food supply. Where previously the main infrastructure in the North Sea came from oil & gas extraction activities, this is now shifting to large-scale development of wind farms, CO2 storage and possible hydrogen production and storage. Preserving and strengthening ecological values in these developments is very important. The North Sea Agreement has therefore agreed that energy transition should be accompanied by nature transition. Exchanging knowledge and experiences of industry and nature organisations is therefore of great importance.
