Abstract
In the wake of recent geopolitical events, the European Union has accelerated efforts to achieve energy resilience by expediting green energy development. The EU has vowed to build about 300 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050. At the heart of this lies the challenge of developing a coordinated offshore and onshore transmission infrastructure in an economically and technically efficient way.
Global Transmission Report will organise its 4th Annual Conference on Offshore Wind Transmission Europe on March 14-15, 2023 at Hilton Amsterdam.
The objective of the conference is to discuss plans, strategies and technologies, and present solutions for the development of offshore transmission infrastructure to integrate the envisioned OSW capacity in the region. The conference will also highlight the relevance of interconnectors, energy islands and meshed offshore grids for the EU’s interconnected green energy transition.
